Penumbra’s REAL Immersive System is an advanced rehabilitation technology using virtual reality specifically designed for healthcare. The REAL VR system delivers engaging, immersive therapeutics to promote better health, including furthering motor skills, functional skills, and cognition.
The Real Recovery veteran rehabilitation program works to combine cognitive and physical rehabilitation using immersive virtual reality therapy. REAL focuses on full-body recovery with strengthening and range of motion exercises while also addressing cognitive functions. This form of VR therapy helps veterans achieve a more holistic recovery.
As a nonprofit for veterans focused on providing disabled American veterans with the resources they need to take their next steps forward, SoldierStrong works to provide access to innovative physical therapy treatments. The REAL® Immersive System (along with BraveMind, SoldierRecovery, and the SoldierSuit) gives injured veterans the resources they need to overcome recovery obstacles.
REAL System is FDA Cleared for rehabilitation exercises conducted in a clinical environment prescribed and supervised by a medical professional trained in rehabilitation therapy. SoldierStrong provides REAL system donations for veterans organizations, often VA medical centers and hospitals.
